KUGB licence

To continue training with our club after the first 2 sessions, you need to have a KUGB licence, as this is important for insurance. You can get a licence here: https://www.wellnessliving.com/login/kugb

Adult vs Family classes

Sunday classes are for adults and children aged 8 years and older.

Wednesday classes are for those aged 16 years and older.

What to wear

While you are getting started, just wear comfortable sportswear for training. We train barefoot, so no trainers needed, except occasionally for fitness. It won’t be long until you are keen to get your first ‘gi’ - the white pyjamas.

What not to wear

For safety reasons we ask that you take off (or tape down) any jewellery, that long hair is tied back and that you keep finger and toenails clean and short.

Cost

We are a not-for-profit club, and aim to set prices at a level to cover dojo hire, affiliation fees and admin costs. Our Senseis instruct for free. Classes can be paid for individually (£8 per session) or monthly (£40 per month for adults / £25 per month for children aged 8-15 years). If you want to train alongside several of your children speak to us and we can work out a rate that will suit you.

Après karate

There is little better than a post training pub trip or meal out. All club members are welcome to join on any socials.
